Pancake Breakfast, Nov. 10Fri, 10/26/2007 - 1:35pm
By: Michael Boylan
The Metro Fayette Kiwanis Club will host its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday Nov. 10 from 7 a.m. to noon at Whitewater High School,100 Wildcat Way, in Fayetteville. Tickets are on sale now for $4 each and may be purchased through any Metro Fayette Kiwanis member or at the door. “While food plays a big part in the event, and people line up each year for the sausage, pancakes and orange juice, it’s the community support from the pancake breakfast that serves a bigger purpose.” Club President Pat Brannon explained. "It’s very important to the community because proceeds from the breakfast help support a variety of community service programs, which include activities that focus on the welfare of youth and children.” Organizers encourage area residents to bring their entire family to the all-you-can-eat breakfast. In addition to the good food, there will be lots of fun including a performance by the Joseph Sams School Cheerleaders and Santa Clause will be present to provide a little pre-holiday fun for the children.
