Three men were indicted last week in an ongoing undercover online sting operated by the Peachtree City Police Department.

The sting is designed to catch predators who target young children for sexual contact in online chat rooms, via e-mail and other electronic communications.

Included among the three are:

• Peter Rabun Seckinger, 44, of Angling Court, Fayetteville, for one count of violating the computer pornography and child exploitation act and one count of obscene internet contact. Seckinger owns a business in Peachtree City.

• Mohammad Leon Bolton, 31, of Elberta Street, McDonough, for one count of violating the computer pornography and child exploitation act. He was a bus driver for the Clayton County School System and a youth pastor.

• Robert Michael Tidwell, 51, of Briar Ridge Way, Cumming, for one count of violating the computer pornography and child exploitation act and one count of obscene internet contact.

Each of the three were arrested after they made contact online with an undercover police officer who told them she was under 16 years old. Bolton was arrested quickly after telling the undercover officer that he could meet her at her home because he had done that before, police said.

Police remind parents to be watchful over their children’s Internet usage and consider using spyware so they can know exactly where their children are surfing on the World Wide Web. Police Chief James Murray says this undercover operation is important because so many kids in Peachtree City have computer access, and they can come into contact with total strangers who may wish to do harm.

A total of 11 arrests have been made in the sting since the operation began.
