Lavon F. Mack, 84, of Peachtree City, died Oct. 15, 2007. Mrs. Mack was born in Gary, Minn. on Feb. 22, 1923 to Howard and Frances Stearns. She was a devout wife, homemaker and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack Kenneth Mack, sister Ruby Chaison, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Kay W. (Toni) Mack and Johnnie (SanDee) Mack both of Sharpsburg; daughter, Janet Robertson (Larry) of Raymond; brother, Ivan Stearns of Gallup, N.M.; grandchildren Chris (Tina) Mack of Senoia, Chad (Lacy) Mack of Port St. Joe, Fla., Johnnie Mack, Jr. of Sharpsburg, Natalie Robertson and Melanie Robertson both of Raymond; and great-grandchildren Kaylyn (K.C.) Mack and Tyler Mack both of Senoia. Funeral services were Oct. 18 at St. George Catholic Church in Newnan. Father Austin Fogarty officiated. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Pallbearers were Chris Mack, Tyler Mack, Chad Mack, Johnnie Mack, Jr., Bob Tinsley, Carl McKnight, and Rob Pannell. Honorary pallbearer was Robert F. Chaison Jr. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
