The Fayette County Tigers are steamrolling through Region 2-AAAA.

No. 9-ranked Fayette whipped Westlake 37-6 Friday night for its seventh consecutive victory.

It was Fayette’s fourth consecutive victory in which it has scored at least 21 points.

Fayette (7-0, 5-0) still is the only undefeated team left in the region.

Quarterback Brandon Boykin opened the scoring with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Barack Little in the first quarter. It was Little's first touchdown catch of the season.

Later in the quarter, Fayette's Luis Martinez kicked a 27-yard field goal.

Fayette scored twice more in the second quarter — Matt Daniels (15 carries, 94 yards) had a 5-yard touchdown run and Andrew Prosser threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Little.

Tim Pettaway's 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Marquis Dixon's 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter completed the scoring for Fayette.

Fayette's defense was stout once again, forcing two turnovers and holding Westlake to 159 yards of total offense.

"We're playing well in all three phases of the game," Fayette coach Tommy Webb said. "We're getting better and more efficient as the season progresses."
