Optimists install new officers

The Peachtree City Optimist Club held its annual Installation Banquet on Monday, September 24 at Flat Creek Country Club.

The new club officers for the 2007-2008 year are Tammy McMillan, secretary/treasurer; Terry Ernst, vice president; Jennifer D’Oliviera, president; Ida Jones, lieutenant governor; Rich Rye, Deanna Finn, George Uhrin and Ruth Cooper, board of directors and Stony Lohr, president elect.

Sixteen club members received recognition for perfect attendance. Bill Camper has 28 years of perfect attendance and Vince Rossetti has 32 years.

The Optimist Club provides events and opportunities that bring out the best in children. If you would like to become a “Friend of Youth,” join them on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at the Three Dollar Café. New members are always welcome.
