The Southern Crescent Chorale will kick off their sixth concert season on October 20 with its annual gala, “Puttin’ on the Ritz.”

The gala, which will take place at the Wyndham Conference Center in Peachtree City, is a fund raiser for the chorale and will include a silent auction, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing and a short performance by the chorale. The public is invited to attend and tickets are $100 per person with reservations required by today. Tables are also available. Items to be auctioned include gift baskets, round trip airline tickets, jewelry, floral arrangements, original artwork and gift certificates to clothing stores and restaurants.

In addition, the highlight auction of the night will be a five-day, four-night trip for two to Barbados, including accommodations at the award-winning Crane Resort. Crane Beach is considered to be one of the ten best beaches in the world. This vacation package includes non-stop roundtrip airfare on Delta Air Lines. To make the trip even more enjoyable, an evening at the Plantation Dinner Theater is provided.

The chorale is conducted by renowned choral director Janice Folsom. Concerts are planned at venues throughout the region and will include dynamic performances of a major choral work, along with other classical works and Broadway favorites. With national-caliber voices and a challenging selection of material, the Southern Crescent Chorale has established a reputation and a following that continues to grow with every performance.
