Skov earns Eagle rank

Jarrett A. Skov of Fayetteville, Ga., was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in the Boy Scouts of America organization, at a Court of Honor on June 21.

Since 2002, Skov has been a member of Troop 309, sponsored by American Legion Post 105 in Fayetteville.

For his Eagle Scout project he supervised the construction and placement of a "lost and found" container and plastic bag container at the Peachtree City Dog Park. He has earned 26 merit badges since becoming a Scout, with the highlight of his scouting career being a hiking trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico.

Skov is a 2007 graduate of Starr's Mill High School and has just begun his freshman year at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. He is the son of Randy and Jinda Skov.
