Boy Scout Troop 75

Boy Scout Troop 75 from Peachtree City conquered the summer heat and humidity as they spent a week in late June in Northern Georgia fighting off annoying insects, learning hydration management and blister prevention at Boy Scout camp. The group of 17 boys and four leaders, sponsored by Peachtree City United Methodist Church, enjoyed the natural beauty of Camp Woodruff as they hiked, swam, and earned a variety of merit badges from rifle shooting to reptile and amphibian study. A highlight of the week was the annual whitewater rafting trek down the Nantahala river as adult leaders and boys alike experienced first hand how to navigate the cold and fast moving water.
