• Burton graduates from basic military training

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Angela J. Burton has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Burton is a 1990 graduate of McIntosh High School, Peachtree City, Ga.

• Dale graduates from Huntingdon College

Drake Gardner Dale, of Peachtree City, Ga., has earned a bachelor of arts degree at Huntingdon College. He completed a major in business with a concentration in accounting. Dale was a member of the Huntingdon Hawks men’s soccer team and was named to the Great South Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference team. He was also a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and was named a Kappa Sigma Scholar. Adding to his honors, he was appointed to the dean’s list for his academic achievement. Dale completed a travel/study experience with Huntingdon faculty and students in London, England in 2006. The son of Marguerite and Drake Dale of Peachtree City, Dale is a 2002 graduate of McIntosh High School. He is employed with the public accounting firm Smith, Dukes, and Buckalew in Mobile, Ala.
