Whitewater girls, OLM boys and Northgate boys and girls win county cross country championships

Whitewater’s girls placed first at the Fayette County cross country championships Wednesday. Their top five runners were:

• Kasie Knapper, 2, 20:56.26
• Stacey Mangan, 3, 21:03.99
• Mary Roberts, 4, 21:09.15
• Clessie Kendrick, 9, 22:15.18
• Lauren Perkins, 10, 22:17.25

Starr’s Mill’s girls placed second. Their top five runners were:

• Jackie Sample, 1, 20:32.87
• Sarah Balkom, 5, 21:33.28
• Molly Musselwhite, 7, 21:48.79
• Jenny Sample, 8, 21:57.97
• Jamie Burr, 11, 22:29.93

McIntosh’s girls placed third. Their top five runners were:

• Emily Husted, 12, 22:33.30
• Emily Kim, 17, 23:04.17
• Devon Fischer, 20, 23:23.42
• Ally Montemurro, 22, 23:31.15
• Elizabeth Brasch, 26, 23:53.18

Our Lady of Mercy’s girls placed fourth. Their top five runners were:

Sandy Creek’s girls placed fifth. Their top five runners were:

East Coweta’s boys finished third. Their top five were:

Northgate and East Coweta’s girls finished in the same positions.
