Our Lady of Mercy hosted Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy on Friday night and lost 45-22.
Once again, Our Lady of Mercy’s offense generated a lot of yards and points, but the defense had a hard time stopping the Chargers.

Scoring points for Mercy were Christian Willis (61 yards rushing on the night), William Pearl and Jarrell Bankhead (91 yards receiving). Dominique McDermott had 100 yards receiving. Pearl had 47 yards rushing with one touchdown and 271 yards passing witha touchdown and an interception. Overall, Our Lady of Mercy had 394 yards of offense.

The Bobcats had cut the Chargers lead to 20-14 at one point, but couldn’t stop ELCA’s offense. The Mercy defense gave up 642 yards (407 yards rushing and 235 yards passing). Will Simmons and Bankhead led the Bobcats with 11 total tackles, while Willis added 10. Amir Mustafaa had nine tackles and a sack, McDermott had eight total tackles and Courage Jacobs and Patrick Silloway each added seven total tackles. Silloway also had an interception and a sack.
