Mildred Stephens, 69, of Jonesboro, died Sept. 17, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 56 years William Stephens; daughters Pat and Cecil Ethridge of Jonesboro, Jeannie and Russell Thompson of McDonough, Joy Fesperman of Jonesboro; sons Jerry and Lynn Stephens of McDonough, Joey Stephens of Snellville; and daughter Jacki and Kevin Hayslip of Monticello; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 sisters. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 19, in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son with the Rev. Kevin Kuykendall and the Rev. Danny Fesperman officiating. Burial was at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville, was in charge.
