Ronald “Ron” Carl Holland, 51, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at his home. He was a graduate of Mercer University and previously worked for Delta for more than 20 years and had worked at American Express for the last ten years. He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Holland, and his father-in-law, Alexander W. Skoropat. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mary Skoropat Holland of Fayetteville; daughters Katie F. and Amanda N. Holland of Fayetteville; mother Irene G. Holland of Covington; mother-in-law Florine R. Skoropat of Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law Harry (Sandi) Skoropat of Valdosta, Phillip (Marsha) Skoropat of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Alex Skoropat of Kissimmee, Fla. Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 8, in the chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Jimmy Ellison officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Credit Union, 1025 Virginia Ave., Atlanta, GA 30354 for a college fund that has been established for Mr. Holland’s daughters. Carl J.
