Biz expo set for October 18

Coweta County’s biggest and most influential business exposition will take place October 18 at the Summit Family YMCA. BigExpo 2007, hosted by the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, features 100 exhibitors who offer products and services to Coweta businesses and consumers. Doors open for business-to-business networking from 1-5 p.m., and to the general public from 5-8 p.m. Admission is $5.

“This year’s BigExpo really focuses on the great companies that are here in Coweta and what we can do to support them,” said Jenny Fritz, Vice President with Southern Community Bank and Chamber chairperson for the event. “Many of the area’s largest employers will be joining our exhibitors for a special ‘Think Coweta First’ business-to-business networking session. We’ll also have an exhibitors’ lounge hosted by Entrepreneurs Thrive in Coweta! (ETC!), the Chamber’s new program especially designed to foster entrepreneurs and start-ups here in our community.”

According to Fritz, BigExpo can mean big dollars for exhibitors. “Our research shows that most exhibitors gather at least 20-30 solid sales leads at this event, and showcase their offerings to about 300 qualified prospects each hour. It’s really rare to find so many potential customers concentrated in one time and place.”

The deadline for exhibitor registration is today. Exhibit booths start at $310 ($165 for a small introductory business table).

Summit Healthplex is the Title Sponsor of BigExpo 2007. Summit Family YMCA is the facilities sponsor.

“The tenants of the Summit Healthplex (www.summithealthplex.com) are proud to be the Title Sponsor of the 2007 BigExpo,” said Ryan Huber, VP of Operations at Out-Med, LLC, which developed the Summit Healthplex. “By bringing this event onto the Summit Campus, the business community will have a great opportunity to see and learn first hand about the many healthcare services the Summit Healthplex has to offer, including the new state-of-the-art YMCA wellness facility and the medical and financial facilities that are currently under construction. We hope that the Summit's title sponsorship will add to the continued success of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber BigExpo event.”

With more than 700 members throughout Coweta County, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing economic prosperity for all Coweta’s citizens. As the county’s largest business organization, the Chamber works to provide business leadership to foster an economic and cultural climate favorable to all business, in order to create a higher quality of life for all residents.
