Randall Lee Staton, 49, of Fayetteville, died Sept. 30, 2007. He was employed by Goodyear for the last 13 years where he served as a “first responder” and also worked with Heartline EMS for the last three and a half years. he was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Lee Staton. Survivors include his wife, Faye Staton; mother, Polly Staton of Delaware, Ohio; son, Stephen Johnson of Fayetteville; daughters, Candace Staton of Ohio, Brenda Whitlatch and her husband Danny of Spartanburg, S.C., Melinda Carney and her husband Chris of Jasper; grandchildren, Daniel, Jessica, Hannah, Josh, Kaitlyn; brother, Rick Staton of Ohio; sisters, Shirley Thrush and her husband Mike of Ohio, Jean Hall of Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Westminster Memorial Gardens.
