Charles Leon “Bud” Sheets, 72, of Hampton, formerly of Fayetteville, died Oct. 1, 2007. He was born in Delaware County, Ind. on Oct. 31, 1934 and raised in Nappanne, Ind. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He also served as the Nappanne, Ind. Post Commander of The American Legion. He was employed for more than 25 years at McCormick Motors as a mechanic. He is survived by his sons Larry Sheets of Miami, Fla. and John Sheets of Plymouth, Ind.; daughter Nancy and Archie Carroll of Hampton; grandchildren Sherry Coleman, Danny Boggs and Jeffery Sheets; and great-grandchildren Jackie, Katie and Phillip. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville with Rev. Ellis Freeman officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville, is in charge.
