Three attend chaplain’s training in Toccoa

Three local ministers recently attended law enforcement chaplain’s training at the Georgia Baptist Campgrounds in Toccoa. The training was sponsored by the Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Chaplains and was endorsed by the Georgia Peace Officer’s Standards and Training Council (POST).

Jason Epps of Senoia attended the 32-hour basic chaplain’s training course that leads to Georgia POST certification as chaplain.

David Epps of Sharpsburg and William Shelton of Peachtree City attended the 20-hour advanced program in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Both Epps and Shelton are POST certified chaplains.

Some 60 chaplains and police officers from across Georgia attended one of the three courses of study offered during the week of training.
