Starting Monday, Oct. 8 the Peachtree City Police Department will be open at its new location at 2011 N. Commerce Drive, the former World Gym location.

Meanwhile citizens may still visit the department's headquarters at 350 Ga. Highway 74 south until Friday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.

All phone numbers to the police department remain the same: the main number is 770-487-8866; the tip line is 770-487-6010 and the non-emergency number is 770-461-4357. The department's web page also has a significant amount of information and is available through a link at www.peachtree-city.org.

Police began moving to the temporary location this week in order to allow crews to replace the flooring of the headquarters in a bid to stymie the flow of moisture into the flooring. The problem has led to mold and mildew problems along with some related health issues among police employees.
