Legacy Theatre now casting

The Legacy Theatre, a full-time professional theatre, is seeking to immediately cast several roles in its 2007-08 mainstage and children's season. The theater is looking for non-equity performers only.

The Legacy is currently seeking to cast a versatile, older character actor with strong vocal and acting skills for the role of Harry Heywood in “It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.” Performances are weekends Nov. 23-Dec. 16. Rehearsals begin Nov. 2.

The theater is also seeking a strong singer and mover to fill the role of Will in “Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein.” Review experience is a plus. Performances for this show are Jan. 25-Feb. 17.

They are also casting the role of Timothy in “The Cay.” The roll requires an African-American male with the ability to play 70-plus years of age and speak with West Indian accent. The Legacy seeks a physical actor with a large stage presence, and someone who is preferably familiar with children's theatre. All ages are welcome to audition. Performances are Feb. 4-15 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., Mon.-Fri., and one Saturday morning performance.
