Ruth Carson, Brooks, died Sept. 18, 2007. She was born in Carroll County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Carson. She was a member of Brooks Christian Church. Graveside services were at the Brooks Memorial Cemetery with Minister Paul Carrier officiating. Survivors include a son, Billy Carson, Brooks, a grandson, Jared Carson, Macon; granddaughter, Amanda and Charlie Johnson, Seymour, Tenn.; great-grandsons, Luke Charles Johnson, and Brock William Johnson, both of Seymour, Tenn.; and a sister, Nell Filman, Thomaston. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, was in charge.
