Moreland to host old fashioned gospel sing

Little Vine offers single parents support group
S.P.I.R.I.T. Ministries (Single Parents Igniting Restoration In Truth), a support group for single parents, will hold its first meeting Saturday, Sept. 29, at 12:30 p.m. at Little Vine Baptist Church on the corner of Handley Road and Tyrone Road in Tyrone. Fifth Sunday Celebration set for Sunday at Grace
The Fayette County Christian Fellowship, in pursuit of Christian unity, presents a Fifth Sunday Celebration, “Stepping Up to Be a Man in the Eyes of the Lord,” at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, at Grace Evangelical Church, 164 Flat Creek Trail (off Ga. Hwy. 54). Special music will be presented by “Out of the Boat” and a combined men’s choir. Featured speaker will be Tom Kroessig, Ambassador Field Director for Promise Keepers. Fayetteville Christian plans barbecue Oct. 6
Fayetteville Christian Church will host a barbecue and bake sale Saturday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., with proceeds going towards mission trips. Square Foot Ministry will have a yard sale at the same time. The cost is $5 per plate and includes pork barbecue, baked beans, slaw, chips, bread, and tea or lemonade. The church is at New Hope and Hickory roads, Fayetteville.
