Lauren Nichole Wiedmeyer and James Elliot Walls were married Saturday, April 21, 2007, on the Western Green at Rosemary Beach, Fla. The Rev. Doctor Ken Taylor conducted the beachside ceremony. A tented reception followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Raymond Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Roger Wiedmeyer of Vestavia Hills, Ala. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Patrick Gattas Jr. of Memphis, Tenn. and Mrs. Ann Serpa Wiedmeyer and the late Earl Paul Wiedmeyer of Sun City Center, Fla. She is an account representative for Google, Inc.

The groom is the son of retired Lt. Col. and Mrs. William Gregory Walls of Tyrone. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Max Walls and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Edwin Chancey, both of Enterprise, Ala. He is employed with Morgan Stanley.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a silk dupioni, A-line gown featuring a ruched bodice by the designer Cymbeline of Paris and carried a white and ivory bouquet of peonies, ranunculus, sweet pea and stephanotis.

The bride’s matron of honor was her cousin, Kathryn Thomas Head of Memphis, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Jones of Huntsville, Ala.; Katie Howlett of Richmond, Va.; Lisa Saksons of Brentwood, Calif.; Lindsey Brandon of Atlanta; and Brynne MacCann, Blair Boyer and Sarah Sherman all of Birmingham, Ala. .

The groom’s best man was his father, William Gregory Walls.Groomsmen were Todd Cox and Brian Wiedmeyer of Montgomery, Ala.; Ryan Hudgins, John Durell, and Zach Monson all of Atlanta; Andrew Howlett of Richmond, Va.; and Josh Reed of Buford.

Following a honeymoon to St. Bart’s in the French West Indies, the couple resides in New York, N.Y.
