One or more individuals are being sought in connection with an early morning break-in at the Shell station on Senoia Road and Palmetto Tyrone Road Sept. 16. The burglary resulted in the theft of a lottery stand and an undisclosed number of tickets.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to Tyrone Police Chief Brandon Perkins. Officers responded to an alarm call at the store, finding that entry to the store had been gained by smashing the glass in the store’s front door, he said. Once inside, thieves removed a stand containing lottery tickets, Perkins said.

Perkins noted that the fuse box in the rear outside the store had been pulled off the wall. Though only speculative, Perkins said the action might have been made in an unsuccessful attempt to disarm the alarm.
