A day after beating third-ranked Whitewater, McIntosh crushed Woodward Academy 6-0 Thursday in College Park.

It was one of McIntosh’s best all-around games of the season; it scored at least two runs in all but the first, second and sixth innings, and Morgan Kidd was dominant, throwing a complete-game one hitter, with 19 strikeouts. She struck out the last 12 batters.

Kidd has been lights out for McIntosh. She has an active streak of 39 scoreless innings, with 84 strikeouts over that period.

Hits by Lindsey Hearn and Nicole Fox, plus two Woodward errors, allowed McIntosh to jump out to a 2-0 lead in the third.

Nicole Fox made it 4-0 with one swing of the bat in the fourth, hitting a two-out, two-run single.

McIntosh added two more runs in the fifth: Jessica Conaway hit an RBI double, then later scored on an error.

Erin Justice, Ariel Shaw and Amy McKibbin all singled and scored in the seventh to complete the scoring.
