B’nai Israel plans special services
Congregation B’nai Israel in Fayetteville will have Kol Nidre services Friday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. and Yom Kippur morning services Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. followed by Yizkor/afternoon services at 4 p.m. B’nai Israel is at 1633 Ga. Hwy. 54 East at Corinth Rd., east of Fayetteville.

Olivet schedules outdoor movie
This Friday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m., a “Movie under the Heavens” will be presented in Olivet Baptist Church’s north parking lot. Refreshments will be available. The movie is a part of Olivet’s Sweet Sixteenth Anniversary celebration this month. The church is at 877 Ga. Hwy. 314 north, Fayetteville.

Health Fair set at Liberty Baptist
Liberty Baptist Church will have a Health Fair Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be a small charge for cholesterol and osteoporosis screening. The other test will be free. For more information call 770-461-5644. The church is between Riverdale and Fayetteville. at 1077 Ga. Hwy 314.

St. Matthew craft festival is Sept. 22
St. Matthew Parish in Tyrone will host a Fall Craft Festival Saturday, Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. to be held at Our Lady of Victory School, 211 Kirkley Road, Tyrone. A parishioner’s preview will be held Friday, Sept. 21 from 6-10 p.m. Food will be available for purchase from the St. Matthew St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Knights of Columbus. Holy Cross marriage classes start next week
Church of the Holy Cross in Fayetteville will host the “Love And Respect” series of marriage enrichment classes beginning Tuesday evening, Sept. 25 and continuing for four moreTuesday evenings. The course is endorsed by Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family Ministries. The classes are free and open to the community with a small charge for the workbook. Advance registration is required. Moreland to host old fashioned gospel sing
The Emmanuel Baptist Church on Cline Road in Moreland will host an old fashioned southern gospel singing Friday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. Featured singers will be The Christianaires from LaGrange, One Accord from Columbus, the Carter Trio from LaGrange, and others. Little Vine offers single parents support group
S.P.I.R.I.T. Ministries (Single Parents Igniting Restoration In Truth), a support group for single parents, will hold its first meeting Saturday, Sept. 29, at 12:30 p.m. at Little Vine Baptist Church on the corner of Handley Road and Tyrone Road in Tyrone. SFM, Inman UMC will sponsor project at Lowe’s
Inman United Methodist Church and Square Foot Ministry are coordinating the construction of the walls for one of the houses to be transported to Pass Christian, Miss. as part of SFM’s “Mega Build” scheduled for Oct. 11-14. The work will be done on the parking lot of Lowe’s on Ga. Hwy. 85 in Fayetteville on Saturday, Oct. 6. Work will begin at 7 a.m. that morning. The team hopes to have the walls finished and loaded on a flatbed trailer for transport to Mississippi by mid-afternoon. The Rock plans Homecoming, revival
The Rock Baptist Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary with Homecoming and a revival beginning Sunday, Oct. 7. Homecoming service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude with lunch, testimonies and special music. Revival services will begin Monday, Oct. 8 and will continue through Wednesday, Oct. 10, with services at 6:30 p.m. nightly. Dr. Ron Ledbetter and L.C. Lane will lead the services. The Rock is at 1392 Sandy Creek Rd., off Ga. Hwy. 74, north of Tyrone.
