Football players of the week for third week of regular season

Fayette County:
Fullback Matt Daniels rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown, and he also had eight total tackles. Quarterback Brandon Boykin ran for 100 yards.

Linebackers Evan Reid and Devontae Partridge each had eight total tackles. Linebacker Shemar Fletcher caused a fumble and also recovered a fumble.

Landmark Christian:
Quarterback Tanner Bryant passed for 167 yards and two touchdowns, wide receiver Jimmy Eden had two catches for 86 yards, and wide receiver Matt Thornton had five catches for 53 yards.

Defensive back Blake Wyatt had 15 total tackles on the night, linebackers Blake Austin and Brock Pollard both added six tackles, one for a loss and a fumble recovery. Linebacker Luke Griffith had 10 total tackles, including two for loss, and linebacker Andrew Glaize had four tackles, including two for loss, and a blocked kick.

McIntosh:
Moroni De Moors had 12 carries for 107 yards and one touchdown. Linebacker Andrew Graham had nine total tackles and one sack.

Our Lady of Mercy:
Wide receiver/defensive back Dominique McDermott had two catches for 60 yards and a touchdown, 10 solo tackles and an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Quarterback William Pearl threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.
Linebacker Will Simmons had 11 solo tackles and one assist, linebacker Jarrell Bankhead added seven total tackles, and linebacker Matthew Maker had six total tackles.

Sandy Creek:
Safety Russell Bonner had two interceptions, one of which he returned 60 yards for a touchdown, one pass defensed and three total tackles; linebacker Matt Solomon had 10 total tackles, including one for loss; defensive end Jeremy Holt had nine total tackles, including two for loss; and linebacker Zack Hilton had eight total tackles, including one for loss, one sack and one pass defensed.

Starr’s Mill:
Defensive end Nate Baker had 11 total tackles; linebacker Parker duPont had 10 total tackles, including one for loss; linebacker Chris Sudduth had nine total tackles, including one for loss, and one sack; and safety Kenny Jackson had seven total tackles and two interceptions.

Wide receiver Dan Ellis had four catches for 66 yards, and wide receiver Jared Rose had four catches for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Whitewater:
Linebacker Ryan Hidalgo had 16 total tackles, safety Kevin Fleming had 12 total tackles, and linebacker Zack Mann had 10 total tackles.
Thomas Frierson returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown.
