Landmark loses to Pacelli, 25-17

Landmark Christian started their game with Pacelli last Friday rather sluggishly, but the War Eagles came roaring back in the second half and made a game of it.

Pacelli started the game with 17 straight points, but it was a different game in the second half. Quarterback Tanner Bryant connected on touchdown passes with Jimmy Eden and Walter Lenard on his way to throwing for 167 yards. Eden had two cathces for 86 yards while Matt Thornton had five catches for 53 yards.

The War Eagle defense wasn’t sharp in the first half, but held the Vikings to a minimum of good plays in the second half. Blake Wyatt had a total of 15 tackles on the night, while Blake Austin and Brock Pollard both added six tackles, one for a loss and a fumble recovery. Charlie Long also had a fumble recovery SR LB Luke Griffith with 10 total tackles including 2 tackles for a loss. and Andrew Glaize had four tackles, two tackles for a loss and a blocked kick.

Landmark Christian has a bye this week. They will play Bremen on the road next Friday.
