Eugene McDonald, 72, Palmetto, died Aug. 27, 2007. He was born Oct. 31, 1934 in Jefferson, Ga. He was the owner of McDonald and Son, Inc. Graveside services were at Cedar Rock Cemetery, Jackson, Ga., with the Rev.Calvin Smith officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances McDonald, Palmetto; a son, Gregory McDonald, Palmetto; and a brother, Wayne McDonald, Gibson. Memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Association, One Corporate Square, Ste. 127, Atlanta, GA 30329.

Michael "Mike" E. Dunn, 73, Fayetteville, died Sept. 6, 2007. He was born July 27, 1934, son of Charles Winston and Marie Ann Townley Dunn. He was graduated from Russell High School, East Point, and helped organize Russell High reunion and luncheons. He had served in the United States Coast Guard. He worked in the paint industry and later for Tri-City Realty and Prudential Realty. He was a member of the Ben Hill Masonic Lodge, and the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. He loved coaching girls church league softball and they won several first place trophies. He loved people and tried to put a smile on their faces. Services were at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland and the Rev. Bob Partridge officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Pat Dunn, Fayetteville; children, Mark Dunn, Newnan, Lisa and Norman Smith, Mableton, and Kim and Mike Lashley, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Benjamin, Tyler, Alicia and Olivia Smith; great-granddaughters, Bonnie and Lilly; and a brother, Ronald and Iris Dunn,Ocala, Fla.

Mary Ellen Ross Wilder, 68, Sharpsburg, died Sept. 9, 2007. She was born Dec. 31, 1938 in Rockingham, N. C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred R. and Nellie W. Ross, and a brother, Kenneth B. Ross. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Rick Witter officiating. Interment was at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery, Eden, N.C. Survivors include her husband, James H. Wilder, Sharpsburg; sons, James A. and Amy Wilder, Oak Ridge, N. C., Richard R. and Donna Wilder, Florence, S.C., Kelvin G. Wilder, Newnan, and Jeffrey D. and Allison Wilder, Tyrone; daughters, Carol A. Wilder, Luthersville, and Tressie L. and Charles Colehour, Sharpsburg; a brother, Freddie R. Ross, Oklahoma city, Okla.; her twin sister, Rose R. Barber, McLeansville, N. C.; grandchildren, ChristopherR. Wilder, Rachel L. Wilder, Seth D. Wilder, Benjamin R. Wilder, Bradley K. Wiley, Corey L. Wiley, James T. Wiley, Isaac R. Wilder, Mary-Margaret E. Wilder, Ashley R. Wilder, and Mason H. Wilder, and grand dog, Madison.

Jack Morgan Lamb Sr., 92, Naples, Fla., formerly of Newnan, died Sept. 10. 2007. He was a self-employed mechanic in Naples for many years. Graveside services were at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Skeeter Thompson officiating. Survivors include a son, Jack and Donna Lamb Jr., Newnan; a half-brother, John Thomas Lamb, Buford; grandchildren, Morgan and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jackson, Felicity, and Evan. A special "thank you" to Dennis and Debra Mansfield for their love, care and support given to Jack the last several years.

Lynn H. Patterson, 62, Sharpsburg, died Sept. 11, 2007. He was born Sept. 7, 1945 in Fannin County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Minister Danny Abercrombie and Minister Allen Daniel officiating. Interment was at Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery, Woodland, Ala. Survivors include sons, Dwayne Patterson, and Lonnie and Deborah Patterson, all of Sharpsburg, and Josh and Jamie Patterson, Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Christina and Tommy Hardy, Senoia; brothers, Millen Patterson, Fairburn, William Patterson, Gallion, Ala., Pat Patterson, Calhoun, and Reid Patterson, Cleveland, Tenn; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
