The community is invited to enjoy a night of music and eye-catching performances as Fayette’s high school marching bands showcase their talent at the second annual Fayette County Marching Band Exhibition. Marching bands from all five high schools, Sandy Creek, McIntosh, Whitewater, Starr’s Mill and Fayette County, will perform their shows for the community September 22 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Sandy Creek High stadium. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. To open the evening, a combined 8th grade band will perform the “Star Spangled Banner.” The combined band includes musicians from Flat Rock, J.C. Booth, Fayette, Whitewater, Rising Starr and Bennett’s Mill Middle schools. “I invite everyone to come join the musical fun and cheer on our high school bands as they prepare for their competition season,” says Debbie Baker, director of the Flat Rock Middle School Band and coordinator for the Fayette County Marching Band Exhibition. login to post comments |
