ReGen Fellowship, a new church in Fayette County, will celebrate its grand opening at 9:42 a.m. this Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Legacy Theatre in Tyrone.

Lead pastor, Bruce Hebel, will launch a four part series entitled “Off the Hook: Finding Freedom in Forgiveness.”

ReGen is a young church that, according to its members, “is committed to being a community that lives by faith, is known by love and is a voice of hope.” Several families have been meeting since March to plan and develop a new church committed to sharing that message

Hebel states, “ReGen was birthed out of a realization that there are a lot of people in and around Fayette County and particularly in the Tyrone area that are not part of a church and would benefit from experiencing the love of Jesus. We are not competing with any other church in the area. In fact it is just the opposite. Well over a dozen of my pastor friends in the area have encouraged us to start ReGen. The support and generosity of the area’s church community toward us has been an amazing model of unity.”

The worship service starts at 9:42 a.m., but those attending are invited to come early and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea from the refreshments table.

“At ReGen you will find people who will love you and accept you for who you are, no matter what stage of life you are in,” Hebel said. “Whether you’re a spiritual seeker who’s just starting to ask questions about God, or a long time follower of Christ who wants to know him more, you’ll feel right at home. Feel free to dress casual and comfortable. Jeans are cool, but so is dress-up. We are more concerned about what’s going on in our insides than our outsides. Most importantly, just be you.”

The “Off The Hook” series comes out of experiences from Hebel’s life. “R.T. Kendall says, ‘Bitterness is the poison we drink hoping someone else dies’ and I have certainly experienced that in my past. The principles of forgiveness that we will be discussing helped to set me and my family free from some old wounds. I truly believe that this is one of the most important subjects from the Bible we can embrace.”

ReGen meets at the Legacy Theatre, 1175 Senoia Rd., in Tyrone. More info is available at www.regenfellowship.org or by calling 770-461-4151.
