Bible Study Fellowship starts at Woolsey Baptist
Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), an interdenominational Bible study for women, will begin meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept 13, at Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Rd., Fayetteville. For more info call 770-461-8606.

UMC, Kiwanis Chicken-Q is this weekend
Men from the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City and the Methodist Men of Peachtree City United Methodist Church will co-sponsor their 4th Annual Chicken-Q lunch Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church Youth Center at the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Windgate Road. Tickets are $6.75 and include one-half of a chicken, cole slaw and barbecue beans. Food may be picked up between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Drinks also will be available. Tickets may be purchased from any Kiwanis member, Methodist Men member or may be purchased at the site.

Community Christian’s Homecoming is Sept. 16
Community Christian Church at 349 Kenwood Road, Fayetteville, will host Homecoming events Sunday, Sept. 16, beginning with the 11 a.m. service. Dinner will follow the service. There will be special music, a guest speaker, lots of fellowship, fun and food. Call 770-460-9745 for information and directions.

“UMW Sunday” is Sept. 16 at FFUMC
First United Methodist Church of Fayetteville will host “United Methodist Women” Sunday on Sept 16, at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m., celebrating the 35th anniversary of the creation of UMW. Circle members will lead the services. Fayetteville First UMC has 12 active circles. The church is in downtown Fayetteville, across the street from the Fayette County Courthouse.

Holly Grove to host ‘100 Teens in Jeans’
Holly Grove A.M.E. Church will sponsor a youth event, “100 Teens in Jeans,” an evening of fellowship with mime, singing, dancing, rap and stepping for youth of all ages, Sunday, Sept.16 at 4 p.m. All youth are encouraged to wear their jeans. Holly Grove is at 400 Holly Grove Church Road, Peachtree City.

Teen MOPS starts at Carriage Lane
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will begin a new ministry for teens who are pregnant or teens who are mothers, with Teen MOPS, scheduled to meet each Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the church beginning Sept. 18. Deadline is next week for No. Fayette Fun Run
North Fayette United Methodist Church will host a 5K Run/Walk or wheel Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at 8 a.m. (run) and 8:15 a.m. (walk). The race begins and ends at the church, 847 New Hope Rd., Fayetteville. Registration fee is $20 for the run, walk or wheel (all ages) and $10 for the 50 and 100-yard dash for toddlers through age 11, if made before Sept. 18. After Sept. 18, the registration fee is $25. Supervised jump and play activities will be provided for children of participants, and a bake sale (7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.) and chicken barbecue (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.) will be held.
