Football players of the week for second week of the season

Fayette County
Fullback Matt Daniels ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns.

Running back Tim Pettaway ran for 83 yards.
Linebackers Evan Reid and Devontae Partridge and defensive lineman Travis Mihalik led Fayette with six tackles each.

Landmark Christian
Quarterback Tanner Bryant threw for 235 yards and five touchdowns.

Wide receiver Jimmy Eden had five catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns, and wide receiver Matt Thornton had four catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Walter Lenard ran 15 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Leonard had an interception and two total tackles.
Linebacker Luke Griffith had eight total tackles, and linebacker Blake Wyatt added seven total tackles and an interception.

McIntosh
Fullback Nick Popeil ran 26 times for 100 yards.

Linebacker Andrew Graham had nine total tackles and one sack.

Linebacker Rickey Oskey had eight total tackles, including two for loss.

Sandy Creek
Linebacker Matt Solomon had 13 total tackles, including one for loss.

Defensive end Jeremy Holt had nine total tackles, including one for loss.

Linebacker Zack Hilton had five total tackles, including two for loss, and cornerback Jordan Griffin had four total tackles, a fumble recovery and one pass defensed.

Starr’s Mill
Running back Spencer Penson ran 21 times for 149 yards and one touchdown.

Quarterback Matt Sweat completed 11 of 16 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns.

Linebacker Parker dupont had 14 total tackles, including two for loss, one sack and a safety.
Linebacker Chris Sudduth had 12 total tackles.
Free safety Nick Fevella had eight total tackles and one interception.

Outside linebacker Adam Armagost has six total tackles.

Whitewater
Defensive back Kevin Fleming returned a fumble 26 yards for a touchdown and had one interception, two pass deflections and five tackles.

Linebackers Zach Mann and Ryan Hidalgo had 12 and 11 tackles, respectively; defensive end C.J. Williams had two sacks and a forced fumble; and defensive end Thomas Richard deflected three passes.

Defensive tackles J.C. Jennings and Kyle Bowman helped limit Sandy Creek to 32 yards rushing.
