Great finishes for numerous local cross country teams

Our Lady of Mercy’s boys cross country team won the Mercy Invitational on Saturday, while Whitewater’s boys placed fourth and Fayette County placed 13th.

The top runners for Mercy were:
• Thomas Raville, 3, 17:06
• Christian Willis, 12, 17:38
• Matt Lethbridge, 13, 17:43
• Jared Cooper, 15, 17:50
• Jake Lethbridge, 16, 17:51

Whitewater’s top runners were:
• John Grafmiller, 10, 17:36
• Nick Londrillo, 18, 17:56
• Sean Plunkett, 41, 18:36
• Cory Nolan, 47, 18:44
• Anthony Morrissey, 53, 18:53

Fayette County’s top runners were:
• Jacob Heard, 11, 17:36
• Austin Vorwald, 63, 19:08
• Jared Yamamoto, 67, 19:12
• Brett Gaglione, 77, 19:42
• Jeff Rodriguez, 101, 20:36

On the girls side, Whitewater placed fourth and Mercy placed 10th.

The top runners for Whitewater were:
• Stacey Mangan, 10, 20:57
• Lauren Perkins, 14, 21:34
• Feagan Hunt, 36, 22:47
• Carson Leathers, 50, 23:43
• Katie Arrington, 54, 23:46

Mercy’s top runners were:
• Sarah Hohenberger, 16, 21:36
• Jessica Adams, 26, 22:06
• Andrea Raville, 57, 23:54
• Ashley Kennedy, 61, 24:01
• Jordan Kulwicki, 89, 25:23

The McIntosh boys team improved their finish to 16th out of 22 teams from last year’s placement of 18th out of 21 teams in the Championship Division at the Carrollton Invitational. There were 200 male runners and 160 females in the championship division.

The top McIntosh finishers and their overall race places were:
• Cormac Carolan, 48, 17:38
• Vince Brown, 53, 17:49
• Carl Eifert, 113, 19:02
• Ben Brettin, 142, 19:34
• Brenden Leonard, 143, 19:35

The McIntosh Lady Chiefs placed 15th out of 17 teams in the Championship division of the Carrollton Invitational. The top runners were:
• Emily Kim, 65, 22:27
• Emily Husted, 79, 22:47
• April Esposito, 91, 23:01
• Rebekah Anders, 120, 28:57
• Delia Reyes, 132, 24:33

Landmark’s boys placed third in the Varsity Class A-AAA division. Their top runners were:
• Chad Thames, 5, 17:53
• Daniel Hix. 12, 18:14
• Mehamed Gomez, 16, 18:40
• Alek Pike, 36, 19:32
• John Long, 75, 21:02

Sandy Creek’s boys placed 16th.Their last names were missing from the results listed on www.gatfxc.com. The top runners were:

Landmark Christian’s girls placed first in the Varsity Class A-AAA division. Their top runners were:
