McIntosh and Landmark cruise in wins this week

The McIntosh Lady Chiefs were back in action on the softball field Wednesday, crushing Banneker 12-1 in five innings.

McIntosh had four players finish with at least two hits: Ariel Shaw (3-for-4, one RBI, three stolen bases), Holly Houghton (2-for-3, two RBI), Morgan Kidd, (2-for-2) and Amber Shaw, (2-for-4, four RBI).

Christine Mobley went 1-for-1 with an RBI.
Linsey Hearn pitched a three-inning no-hitter to earn the victory. She struck out five, walked one and hit one batter.

Amber Shaw struck out six and allowed no hits and two walks and hit two batters in two innings to record the save.

Landmark Christian also played earlier this week, whipping Westlake 11-1 in five innings Tuesday.

Senior ace Laura Cooper had another strong outing, recording seven strikeouts with no walks.

Landmark was led at the plate by Jenni Jobe (3-for-4, two runs scored), Chandler Greer (2-for-4, one RBI, one run scored), Hailey McManus (2-for-4, one RBI, one run scored) and Melanie Crum (2-for-3, two RBI, one run scored).
