Turner heads up revival at WoolseyTue, 09/04/2007 - 2:30pm

Dr. Len Turner, of Len Turner Ministries, with a home base in the Woodstock area, will return to lead revival services at Woolsey Baptist Church in Fayetteville Sunday through Wednesday, Sept. 16-19. Turner preached a one-day revival in June, 2006 at Woolsey Baptist. Service times Sunday will be at 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services are at 7 p.m. Turner has a B.A. degree from Mars Hill College at Mars Hill, N.C.; a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary at Fort Worth, Texas; and an honorary doctorate of theology degree from Palm Beach Atlantic College at West Palm, Fla. He has pastored churches in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Georgia from 1970-1997, when he went into vocational evangelism. He has led over 900 revivals with over 15,000 professions of faith. Turner is a native of Greenville, S.C. He and his wife, the former Pansy Reeves, are the parents of three, and grandparents as well. Joe and Kim Stanley, worship leaders and concert artists from Fayetteville, will lead the revival music. They have recorded several CDs and have ministered in worship services, conferences and missions nationally and internationally. They have entertained in 17 states and six countries with performances in theme park theaters, major corporate events, overseas USO tours, children’s character shows, and nightclub show bands. They have shared the gospel in hundreds of churches across the country through the media of Christian television and with evangelists and speakers such as Jay Strack, Rick Stanley, John Maxwell, Jerry Vines, Adrian Rogers, Zig Ziglar, Ike Reighard and Jerry Falwell. Their ministry is centered on worship and praise with a special emphasis on evangelism. Joe is an ordained minister who served as worship leader at two churches. His wife, Kim is involved in women’s ministry, both in leading worship and speaking. Each night will have a different special emphasis. Sunday night is Spirit Night. There will be a Pizza Blast for the youth with free pizza served from 4 -5:30 p.m. Monday night will be Operation Capacity. Tuesday night will be Bringing in the Kids. There will be face painting and crafts during mealtime. Wednesday night is Sunday School night. A free meal will be served Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the church, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. Reservations for the meals must be called into the church office by Sept. 12.
