East Coweta graduate receives ABWA scholarshipThu, 08/30/2007 - 3:28pm

Two high school students received $2,000 scholarships from the ABWA’s McIntosh Chapter earlier this month. Pictured are ABWA President Michele Hall, Scholarship Chair Hallene Minter, winner Leslie Munoz and Munoz's parents - Michael and Claudia Snyder. Munoz of East Coweta High School will continue her academic career at Oxford College of Emory University, where she will major in anthropology. She will use her studies of languages, sociology, and cross-cultural comparisons to assist in acquiring an internship through Emory University. The second winner was Natasha Ward of Newnan High School who will be attending Spelman College in fall. Her major will be International Business and Spanish and plans to continue her education at Harvard School of Law. She is the daughter of a single mom, and has a brother attending Morehouse College.
