The basketball action on Tuesday night was relatively light as most teams were preparing for a game or two before the holidays and holiday tournaments.

Northgate’s boys and girls split with Douglas County on Tuesday. The Lady Vikings won 63-55 with Mary Milton leading the way with 22 points. The boys lost 103-63 with the Mark Johnson leading the Vikings in scoring with 17 points.

Northgate hosts East Coweta tonight with the girls game beginning at 7 p.m. The Lady Vikings will play in the Oxford Christmas tournament in Oxford , Ala. next Thursday and Friday before playing in the Seet South Classic in Morgan County, Ga. starting on Dec. 28.

East Coweta will travel to Peachtree City on Saturday to take on McIntosh with games beginning at 6 p.m. The boys will play in the LaGrange Christmas tournament on Dec. 26 and 27 and the girls will play in the Mary Persons tournament on Dec. 27 and 28.

McIntosh’s boys and girls are not scheduled to participate in any holiday tournaments.

Starr’s Mill will play at Fayette County tonight with the girls game starting at 7 p.m. Both the boys and girls will be off until after Christmas. The boys will travel to Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. to take part in the Beach Bash Invitational, Dec. 27-29, while the girls will play in the Sweet South Classic, Dec. 28-30. Fayette County will play in the Henry County Christmas tournament. The boys and girls will face Eastside on Saturday with games beginning at 4 p.m.

Sandy Creek wraps up their season before the break with a game at Luella tomorrow with games at 5 and 6:30 p.m. They will play in the North Gwinnett tournament Dec. 27-29.

Landmark Christian travels to Chapel Hill tonight and will host Bremen on Monday. The boys will play in the Deep South Classic at Brookwood High School starting on Tuesday, Dec. 27 with a game against East Anchorage, Alaska at 5:30 p.m. The girls will play in the Sweet South Classic starting on Dec. 28.

Our Lady of Mercy’s boys and girls will take on Southwest Atlanta Christian on the road tomorrow night. The boys will play in the St. Pius X Christmas Classic starting Dec. 27, while the Lady Bobcats will play in the Dizzy Bean Christmas tournament in Gulf Shores, Ala. next Wednesday and Thursday.
