Watching your favorite football team from the comfort of your own home has its advantages, namely access to the best seat in the house and access to the food in your refrigerator, but nothing can beat getting together with like-minded fans of your favorite team at a local restaurant or hangout and cheering. Fayette County has a number of great places to go and view a game and each has its own advantages.

• Y-Knot Sports Bar - A longtime favorite of several large booster clubs, Y-Knot presents every NFL game on at least one of their numerous television screens. Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers have made the establishment their Sunday home, but groups of fans from every part of the country gather there each week to enjoy the food and comradery.

• X Playground - The establishment known for its video gaming capabilities has every NFL game every Sunday on their numerous television screens in their restaurant area, including one main game on the 146 - inch projection screen with movie theater -style seats. Adults (those 21 and older) can also bring a small cooler of their favorite refreshments to enjoy in a smoke-free atmosphere. X Playground also has wireless capabilities and encourages fans who participate in fantasy football to bring their laptops and follow their team’s progress.

• Mike and C’s - Though breakfast may not be on the minds of football fans on a Sunday afternoon, it is still available at both local Mike and C’s locations, as is a lunch and dinner menu. Among the local sports paraphenalia that adorns the walls, there are numerous TVs and thanks to the NFL Sunday ticket, all the game will be available for viewing.

• Beef O’Brady’s - The place known as a family sports restaurant has a number of televisions set up for maximum sports viewing, and with the NFL Sunday Ticket, all games will be available to watch. Their menu runs the gamut from soups and salads to wings, sandwiches, wraps and burgers.

• Chaps - A friendly place in Tyrone with casual dining and the all-important NFL Sunday Ticket make this venue, with its clubby atmosphere, a great place to catch a game.

• Smokey Bones - Peachtree City’s barbecue establishment with all the tvs and the table side sound systems will bring you all the football you can handle on Sunday thanks to the NFL Sunday Ticket.

• Taco Mac - In addition to their extensive menu, the restaurant boasts 41 televisions and the NFL Sunday Ticket, which means every game you want to see on Sunday. There are multiple locations in metro Atlanta, including Peachtree City and Newnan.

• Three Dollar Cafe - There are plenty of televisions available at this eatery, including a 102” HDTV, that will benefit from the NFL Sunday Ticket as well. Three Dollar Cafe has found success in the area with lots of area residents and has been a fan favorite in the metro Atlanta area for many years.

• The Tavern on 74 - This hangout has all your favorite football-watching food (wings, chicken fingers, etc.) as well as a focus on southwest style tacos and burritos.

They also offer the NFL Sunday Ticket and 17 television screens to keep diners abreast of all the action.

There may be other local eateries where one can scan a number of games at once while dining on some tasty food, but these choices represent the ones that have found some rabid fan followings.
