Jack Masters, president of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association (SEBA), recently announced a first in what could become a regular concert series in Fayette County, Fayette Bluegrass Jamboree. This initial concert will take place Friday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.

Headlining the evening will be the group Mountain Rhythm, a traditional bluegrass band featuring National Old Time Banjo Champion Robert Montgomery along with Kevin Pace, Kenneth Newell, Eric Spencer and Jimbo Wright. The group recently appeared on the Cumberland Highlanders TV show.

Also taking the stage will be a local bluegrass band, The Larios Brothers, a young group of five brothers who were recently featured on the Moby in the Morning show.

The concert will take place in the auditorium of Fayette Community Church (the old town theater) located behind Mrs. Winners and La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Fayetteville. This will be an entertaining evening of live traditional bluegrass music. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 8-12. Children under 8 are free with a paid adult ticket.
