Lee Barylski, 75, Fayetteville, died Aug. 19, 2007. He was born May 6, 1932 in Sosnowlec, Poland. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a favorite dog, Ceildh. He attended the Silesian University of Technology in Gilwice, Poland, and held a degree in mechanical engineering. He immigrated to the United States in 1970 and moved to Cordele in 1972. He worked as a structural engineer with Harris Waste Management, retiring after 30 years. He was a bike racing enthusiast and celebrated his 74th birthday by riding laps on his bike on the East Point velodrome. He had an avid interest in history and political discourse, having sought political asylum in the United States. He loved travel, and had visited all 50 states and most national parks. He moved to Fayetteville in 2005 and was a frequent visitor to the Line Creek Nature Center and the Peachtree City Dog Park. No services are planned at this time. Survivors include his wife, Irena Barylski, Fayetteville; a daughter, Barbara Barylski and David Walker, Peachtree City, and another her favorite dog, Bigos. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. login to post comments |
