John Evans Hart

John Evans Hart, 81, Fayetteville, died Aug. 20, 2007. He was born Sept. 14,1925 in Baltimore, Md. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a veteran of World War II, having served as an officer in the United States Navy. He completed additional studies at the University of Maryland and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He was a registered professional electrical Engineer in the District of Columbia. He worked at Lockheed Martin for 33 years. He was also employed at the naval research laboratory in Washington DC. He was a talented magician and member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was a charter member of Lutheran Church of the Apostles, Sandy Spring, Ga., and then a member of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Services were at Christ Our shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor John Weber and Pastor Miriam Beecher and Pastor Vicar Pauline Pezzino officiating. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Evelyn "Lynn" Hart, Fayetteville; children, Nancy Hart and Jim Shepack, Peachtree City, Lisa Hart and Danny Muller, Fayetteville, and John M. Hart, Marietta; seven grandchildren; a brother, Edward Daniel and Millie Hart, Seminole, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Erskine Grier III, Columbia, S.C. Memorial donations may be given to Winship Cancer Institute, Elderly Leukemia Research, 1762 Clifton Road, Plaza 1000, Atlanta, GA 30222, or Music Ministry at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church,101 North Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
