James Albert Fowler Sr.

James Albert Fowler Sr., 88, Fairburn, died Aug. 17, 2007. Prior to World War II, he served in the United States Army and in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Second Marine Division Association, Guadalcanal, was a Master Mason and was retired from the Mead Packaging Company. Memorial services were at the Antioch United Methodist Church, Fairburn. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Tommie Ruth Fowler, Fairburn; sons,James and Susan Fowler Jr., Fairburn, and Paul Garrett and Diana Fowler, Fayette County; a daughter, Delia Elizabeth and Paul Mulkey, Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Hatcher; and sisters, Alice Cunningham, and Clara Hayes. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 135 Bradford Square, Ste. B., Fayetteville, GA 30215.

Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
