Former long-time Fayetteville Councilman Al Hovey-King announced today that he will run for Council Post 2 in the November election.

Citing public safety, transportation and economic development factors relating to quality of life issues, Hovey-King said he was urged to enter the race by outgoing Councilman Glenn Brewer.

If re-elected, Hovey-King will join ranks with former political foe Paul Oddo, who defeated him in the 2005 election.
