Kyle Meyhoefer and Sarah Phinney placed among the top swimmers at the GRPA District IV championship swim meet held July 7.

This qualified them to compete at the 2007 GRPA (Georgia Recreation & Parks Assoc.) State Championships held at the Augusta Aquatics Center in Augusta, Ga. on Aug. 20th.
Kyle placed 16th in the 50-yard freestyle and 20th in the 25-yard butterfly in the preliminaries that day.

Sarah qualified to compete in the final competition and placed seventh in the 25-yard butterfly. Both swimmers are members of the Lakemont swim team in Fayetteville. This is their second summer swimming on the Lakemont swim team.
