Michelle Stegall(Starr’s Mill) led QCS, qualifying in the 200- meter dash, 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay. Stegall, the Georgia High School AAAA 400-meter champion, posted a personal record 54.45 in the semi-final round of the national event, and finished in fifth place overall. Lauren Crim(Woodward Academy), Mia Jones(Sandy Creek), Tayler Toles(Banneker) and Stegall ran a very respectable 3:58.53 in the Young Women’s 4x400-meter relay. Toles and Shauntia Mosley(Lovejoy) also qualified in the Long Jump.
The Intermediate 4x800-meter relay team: Kia Andrews(Whitewater), Kiana Courtney(Sandy Creek), Luv Dean(Creekside) and Ashley Smith(Sandy Creek) put on their strongest performance of the summer season with a time of 10:05.47 and took sixth place, finishing just ahead of the team they were runner-up to in the Georgia State and Region 3B AAU meets.

The 4x400 Intermediate meter relay team of Andrews, Courtney, Dean and Ashley Ballard (Northgate) had a strong showing, finishing with a time of 4:04. These young ladies are also the Georgia AAU and Georgia/South Carolina Region 3B state champions in the event.
Lauren Kennedy(Fayette County) qualified in the 100-meter hurdles and would have faired well, but could not make the trip due to an academic commitment.

The Quad City Striders Track Club was established to teach each participant the fundamentals of Track & Field in a competitive environment in order to ensure positive performance on the track, in the classroom and in any field of endeavor they choose to pursue.
