Melodie Reed has joined Neighborhood Community Bank as an assistant vice president and branch manager of their newest office in Tyrone at the intersection of Ga. Highway 74 and Carriage Oaks Drive. She has 10 years of experience in the banking industry including a four and a half year stint with Regions Bank in Peachtree City where she served as assistant vice president and branch manager of the Peachtree City Main Office. She is active in the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and has served as a mentor for their Leadership Class for three years.

The Leadership Team she mentored has supplied Piedmont Fayette Hospital with golf carts for the parking lot and rocking chairs for the new maternity wing. Reed has also volunteered with the Fayette County Holiday Helpers Program for two years. Neighborhood Community Bank is a locally owned and operated bank with over $235 million in assets and three full service branches in Coweta and Fayette counties and another branch scheduled to open in Tyrone in the fall.
