Elizabeth Louise Volkay, 89, Fayetteville, died Aug 17, 2007. She was born March 28, 1918 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Volkay, a daughter, Margaret Gilham, and a sister, Mildred Billos. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Survivors include a son, Larry and Ingrid Beard, Fayetteville; a daughter, Cookie Smoak, Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Parish, Savannah. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
