Registration for new short-term Bible studies, which are open to the entire community, is underway at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Short-term studies begin Sept. 10 and include a wide variety of topics and interests.

Classes include the Beth Moore study “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place,” taken primarily from the book of Exodus. This study is an updated edition taped in Moore’s home church in Houston. It contains all new video and graphics. A second Beth Moore study will be taught in Spanish, “Los Patriarcas,” which explores the lives of the Jewish patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, using the Book of Genesis.

“If You Want to Walk on Water,” by John Ortberg, is presented in six interactive sessions that provide insight into how to discern God’s call, transcend fear, risk faith, manage failure, and trust God.

Offered through Crown Ministries, the “Crown Financial Study” is a 10-week study of what scripture teaches about money and possessions, covering all aspects of financial security, with a goal of helping participants attain true financial freedom.

Cost and class length varies by study; a nursery is available for most classes. See the church website, www.ptcumc.org, for a complete list of studies or contact the church, 770-487-6499. A registration form also is available online and at the church welcome center, 225 Robinson Rd., in Peachtree City.
