Holcomb-McClanahan

Angela Lyn Holcomb and Michael Matthew McClanahan were married at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church at noon on June 2, 2007. Howard Plummer of Hermitage, Tenn., conducted the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Holcomb of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of James Lewis Rountree and the late Florine Rountree of Macon, and Marie Reddick and the late Harry Reddick of Fort Valley. She is a graduate of Fayette County High School, has two undergraduate degrees from Reinhardt College and a master’s degree from Mississippi State College. She is a first grade teacher in Fayetteville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McClanahan of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Joann Watkins and the late Frank Watkins and John McClanahan and the late Elizabeth McClanahan, all of Fayetteville. He is a graduate of Fayette County High School and Trevecca College in Tennessee. He operates a Cotton States insurance agency.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attending the bride was matron of honor Mrs. Carrie Green Fuoco of Decatur, as well as bridesmaids, Mrs. Carla Cann of Fayetteville, Mrs. Karen Harrington of Peachtree City, and Mrs. Aimey McClanahan of Grantville. The flower girl, Rachel Gomes of Fayetteville, and the ring bearer Cole Hatton of Fayetteville were first grade students of the bride.

The best man, Phillip McClanahan of Grantville, is the brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jonathan Williams of Newnan, Brian Burkeen of Clarksville, Tenn., and Brady Plummer of Hermitage, Tenn.

After a honeymoon in Cancun, the couple now resides in Fayetteville.
