The murder of two children followed by the suicide of the father who killed them struck Oakley Township subdivision Monday night.

Chad Payne, 32, shot his seven year-old step-son and his two year-old daughter in the head at shortly after 10 p.m. then turned the gun on himself, according to Fulton County Police spokesman Gary Syblis.

Payne and his little daughter died at the scene. The seven year-old step-son died at Egleston Hospital, Syblis said.

No motive for the killings has been established at this time, Syblis said.

The shootings occurred at a Sandstone Lane residence at Oakely Township subdivision on Oakley Industrial Boulevard.
